  1. Why do I absolutely need a credit card?

A credit card is absolutely necessary for the use of REBEAT Digital!
(Even when purchasing the Software Package in the retail)

This is for two good reasons:

    - Security - Verification
Our users are verified through the credit card

    - Storage fees, EAN/UPCs, ISRCs
The storage fee and the costs for EAN/UPC or ISRC codes (if necessary) are fast and
safely carried out through the credit card.

To use a credit card does not automatically mean to plunge yourself into dept.
The amounts, taken by REBEAT Digital, shall in this regard definitely not afford a headache.
How much is distribution via REBEAT Digital?

  2. Do I need a VAT for using REBEAT Digital?

No! You are also able to register as small company or private person.
You can enter the name of your label to the field "Pseudonym" also in this registration form. This pseudonym will appear in the stores.

  3. Which portals/stores are provided by REBEAT Digital?

  4. How much do I get for a sold song?

Unlike other suppliers we are providing to the portals directly and therefore do not have to pay
    any other technical service provider.

For the user this means a cash increase of 20 - 50 %!

The actual price for a song depends on the particular business concept of the stores, on the point of sale,
on the current rate and on the royalties processing and therefore no flat-rates can be used.

Here are two examples out of hundreds:
(the stated value for mechanical royalties equates to the minimum amount)

Why are those two differing? Follow this link to get the answer

    There are

    Fulltrack-Downloads like on iTunes
    subscription models like Napster or
    Streams only

    existing on the market.

The wholesale price to obtain (what Rebeat gets from the portals) for a Fulltrack-download
rests between 0,7 Euro und 0,4 Euro for a song depending on the portal.

When subscription models are used, the income out of the fees is divided to the account of downloaded songs.
Meaning that an often loaded song receives proportionally more than a rarely loaded one.
Mostly, when using subscription models, the user can only listen to the songs on the PC, neither can they be burned
on a CD nor can they be transmitted to a MP3-Player.

In general (if not having a hit) the income per sold song comes to an amount in the range of tenth cents parts at a subscribtion model.

  5. Where do I get informations about my sales and when do I get my money?

On your personal REBEAT Digital Software the item " Invoices" is displayed.
The sales figures are everytime refreshed as soon as new reports from the stores arrive. Most of the stores do send this information monthly

REBEAT settles monthly and keeps 15% out of your income. Transferals are executed automatically from a total of min. 50,- Euros net,
(minus distribution fee, minus mechanical royalties you may eventually have to pay).

Please note, that it takes some weeks to months until the first monies are arriving from the stores.

  6. Which rights do I have to assign to REBEAT Digital?

You just have to subrogate the digital distribution rights and the origins complience, that is essential for distribution.
As aforementioned – we are no Record Company, but only a Distributor.
Therefore: All other rights (copyrights, master rights) will remain the musicians/producers property.

  7. What are EAN/UPC und ISRC codes needed for?

The EAN/UPC code verifies your complete product. If someone is downloading your complete product
    (e. g. an Album), the accounting works through the EAN/UPC code.

If someone is downloading a single track out of a complete product, the accounting works through the ISRC code.

Therefore each product needs to have an EAN/UPC code, and each track needs to have an ISRC code.
The codes, which you may eventually purchase on the Software, can further be used for your physical CD as well.

  8. How much time does the Upload of a complete album take?

As we need the files in .wav-dimensions (16bit, 44, 1 kHz), it is inherently possible that it takes up to one hour.
But of course this most of all depends on the type of your internet connection.
In case, that the connection is interrupted during an upload for any reason, don’t lose heart - the REBEAT Digital Software will restart your session just exactly on that level, where it was cancelled before.
You do not have to restart all over again!

  9. How long will it take, until my songs are available everywhere?

We regularly export your music to the stores inbetween 48 hours.
(After encoding it into the required formats)

Then it takes between 3 days and up to 90 days, until they will be "live" everywhere.
This depends on the differing and in some cases very complicated verification processes of the stores.

iTunes in general needs the longest time, you may have to wait up to 8 weeks for it.
Musicload, Napster, Saturn and many others are regularly done within 14 days.

  10. Promotion

REBEAT Digital is a Distributor. Rebeat Digital provides the portals with your songs.
The musician/producer has to care about the promotion, as ever before.
We are no Record Company, no A&R Managers, no Promotion- or Marketing agency.
    Rebeat Digital is a Distributor.

  11. How can I always keep my Software Version up-to-date?

No need to agonize over it!
Every time you will be restarting the REBEAT Digital Software, it will automatically search for the latest version and install it if available.

  12. The Tracker does not find my product. What can be the cause?

    1) the waiting period is too short. It takes 3 to 90 days until your music is online everywhere.

    2) Artist is "Various Artists". To hit your product between other similar named products is hindered.

    3) The title of the product or the name of the artist does include special characters which are not used in some countries.

    4) Because of the genre affiliation the product is not accepted by every store, e.g. will a classical music store not accept rock music.
